Integrated Airport Surface Management

Enhancing Airport Security, Safety and Capacity

Description

For many airports, regardless of country and size - the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower operates independently of airport operations. In many cases, air traffic control is run by as a completely separate agency or company from the airport. ATC is typically responsible for the safe and efficient arrival/departure of aircraft and airport operators oversee everything else (security, maintenance, gate operation etc...). While independent ‘siloed’ operation is not a problem in and of itself, there are some areas where a tighter collaboration, and possibly sharing of technology systems, would provide significant benefit. This webinar will focus on one of these areas of collaboration - the airport surface.
