INO signs worldwide license agreement with Searidge Technologies Inc.

Quebec City, November 18, 2008—INO (the National Optics Institute) has signed a non-transferable worldwide license agreement with Searidge Technologies Inc. granting the company full use of all technologies developed by INO, and to which INO and Searidge now jointly hold rights. These technologies will improve the performance of IntelliDAR™, an innovative technology belonging to Searidge Technologies Inc.

“The safety and seamlessness of air traffic control and airport operations have become critical issues for the aviation industry worldwide. We are pleased that INO technologies will open new areas of application for Searidge solutions such as hot spot monitoring, runway incursion, apron management, and general situational awareness.”, noted Jean-Yves Roy, CEO of INO.

IntelliDAR™, an enabling technology platform, uses digital camera sensors coupled with advanced video analytics to provide detection, tracking and positional references of non-cooperative targets. The target output of the system is a ‘radar track’, providing continuous coverage of the target throughout the entire airport surface. Target information can be fused with other ASTERIX-compliant surveillance and control systems. Additionally, video information can be collected, analyzed, and archived for airport business intelligence purposes.

“By enabling new IntelliDAR™ applications, we can now enhance our technological capacity and offer our customers a wider range of services. This worldwide license agreement is advantageous to both INO and Searidge and will significantly increase our business opportunities,” concluded Mr. Moodie Cheikh, President of Searidge Technologies Inc.
